If someone can adopt my doggy, I would be forever grateful.

My mom has been wanting to get rid of him for a long time, since he started barking at her yesterday (when he threw up and got sick) she decided that this was the last straw and she’s about to send him to a kill shelter. His name is Ares and he’s essentially a big teddy bear. He’s super sweet and he knows “sit,” he doesn’t go past any designated area that you tell him not to go into, and he knows “Come here, fatass!” (I taught him that one myself).

We live in atlanta.

I really don’t want him to be put down. My little brother has been in his room crying all day because he’s about to lose his best friend. If you know anyone who has room to spare for him, please signal boost!

i checked her blog and it seems like no one has adopted him. let’s help reblogging to find him a new house!

Thank you, I only have until Saturday!

guys please! :(

PLEASE READ. WILL NOT HURT TO AND FORWARD.

Kids are putting Drano, tin foil, and a little water in plastic drink bottles
and capping it up - leaving it on lawns, in mail boxes, in gardens, on
driveways etc. just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the
rubbish, but you’ll never make it!!!
If the bottle is picked up, and the bottle is shaken even just a little - in
about 30 seconds or less it builds up enough gas which then explodes with
enough force to remove some your extremities. The liquid that comes out is
boiling hot as well.

Don’t pick up any plastic bottles that may be lying in your yards or in the
gutter, etc.

Pay attention to this. A plastic bottle with a cap. A little Drano. A little
water. A small piece of foil.
Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM!!

No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc.

Please ensure that everyone that may not have email access are also informed
of this.

Snopes confirms.

What, are these kids budding sociopaths or something?

Oh my god. You can’t be serious.

Request: Persona 4 - Steak Skewers

Difficulty - 1

Megatenn began following me in the early days of Gourmet Gaming and sent through a request forever ago for some Persona based foods (I believe Mystery Burger and Steak Skewers were on the list). After what seems like an eternal winter, this weekend there was some fabulous weather and I felt a fresh and light Asian inspired meal might be in order - so Steak Skewers were the ideal choice. I’ve never played any of the Persona games but I remember an old housemate having Persona 4 and I spent quite a few hours watching him play - I am however a big fan of many Atlus titles so I must annoy him during the week and see if I can borrow his copy. Speaking of Atlus I am VERY excited for Catherine! I watched the review last night and.. Wow. Cara (who wrote about me on Feed The Gamer several weeks ago) and Ben came over to help demolish the meal; I was rather nervous cooking something I had never made before for other people. In order to eat the food, however, they were forced to watch the Catherine review - it seemed like a fair trade.

Request: Golden Axe - The Meat

Difficulty - 1.5

The requester asked for the “Golden Axe chicken leg”, I read this and thought oh yeah the “chicken leg”. I then fired up the game (sadly on the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collect for Xbox, not on a Mega Drive as I did back in the day) and smacked that little gnome with his green bag and out popped this… this thing. It wasn’t a chicken leg. It wasn’t a leg of lamb. It wasn’t anything like I’d remembered seeing before. What the hell is that roll of meat on a bit of bone? It’s probably come from one of those lizard-bird steeds (edit: It’s apparently a Cockatrice…) you get to majestically ride on for about 5 seconds before some bitch in a bikini beats you off it. So I decided, just like this reptile-bird, to concoct some kind of hybrid dish with a bunch of different meats.

The Sims - Mac and Cheese

Difficulty - 2.5

I’d been wanting to do something from The Sims for a really long time. I’ve been a life long fan and have probably spent too much time with the virtual versions of my family than the real thing (I like them more, I can make them do whatever I want…). I love that there’s so much scope and as the series has gone on the amount of food you can cook just keeps increasing as does the relationship between food and the Sims in-game; you can have a vegetarian or someone who will only eat burnt hamburgers over a sink. So it was hard to pick an iconic food until someone mentioned that mac and cheese was, for them, the thing they remembered most about The Sims. It’s the one main meal you can cook from the very beginning and for most Sims will probably be their staple food until the Grim Reaper comes for them. It’s a well known fact that I’m completely addicted to mac and cheese, I probably eat it at least once a week (sometimes three) and I blame this addiction on the fact that I couldn’t eat cheese for years until finally some smart people figured out how to remove the lactose from the cheese (thank you, food scientists, I owe you my happiness). This is a family recipe that I’ve improved on over the years and it’s always perfect when you just want to gorge on something and get that ‘warm-fuzzies’ feeling.

Request: Deadly Premonition (Red Seeds Profile) - Thomas’ Biscuit

Difficulty - 2

I had to hold off on doing this recipe so there would be enough of a gap between the infamous Sinner’s Sandwich and this second offering from the amazing Deadly Premonition, so it’s really exciting that I’m finally getting to make it! Thomas’ Biscuit is cited by Francis York Morgan as having the perfect balance of milk and butter and apparently you can tell the extra love and care that Thomas puts into them. They’re incredibly scarce in the game, you only ever have a couple  in your possession not counting the one that appears in a cut-scene, but they do restore all of your fatigue and health - they’re just that awesome. The fact they’re called “biscuits” confuses my European brain as I know that as something flat and crumbly not tall and cake-like as it appears on the illusive in-game trading card. But this is middle America… a logging town… (sounding familiar?) so of course it’s an American style biscuit which is remarkably similar to a British scone. I’ve decided to make a slightly sweeter and lighter version that will hopefully live up to Thomas’ recipe.

Request: Minecraft – Cake

Difficulty - 3.5

I purposefully don’t play Minecraft; though enough of my friends have harassed me to play it and I’ve heard nothing bur praises. I’ve spoken before of my horribly addictive personality and I know that if I got involved in Minecraft I would never again see the light of day and they’d find my shrivelled, malnourished corpse collapsed over my laptop. It would be a good way to go, but just not yet. Either way Minecraft Cake has been on my list for a while now and enough of you have been asking for it so here you go!

Grand Theft Auto IV – Cluckin’ Bell Fowl Burger

Difficulty - 1

To celebrate the Grand Theft Auto V trailer that was released today here’s a recipe for the Cluckin’ Bell foul ‘Fowl Burger’! Now you can pee your pants over the trailer while you stuff your face and feel just like Niko Bellic! There’s only a couple Cluckin’ Bell restaurants dotted around Liberty City compared to the role the restaurant played in earlier versions of GTA (where you could order up to 4 meals including a salad) but in GTA IV the $1 fowl burger is your only option. I was seriously tempted, like with ‘The Heart Stopper’, to make the “Stuffed Pollo Todo Frito”; you can watch the advert and witness a corncob being stuffed up a chickens bum if that’s your sort of thing – but again it was costly and extraordinary and not exactly available to Niko in-game. Some day… SOME DAY I will make both of these just for the sheer glory and meat sweats.

Catherine – Pepperoni Pizza (Vincent)

Difficulty - 3 Hearts

My Valentine’s present this year was, somewhat ‘controversially’, the ‘Stray Sheep’ edition of Catherine. So to celebrate what’s quickly becoming one of my favourite games, I’ll be posting three recipes dedicated to the games three main characters; Vincent, Catherine and Katherine. Catherine is a marvel as a story-driven puzzle game that actually works; it’s practically an ideal combination for me! Vincent is a protagonist I have quite a soft spot for too - he’s my kind of guy, whether he’s a sheep or not (I think I just find fluffiness attractive). Vincent spends most of his time at The Stray Sheep where he enjoys a few drinks and, more often than not, a pepperoni pizza.

Request: The Sims - Goopy Carbonara

Difficulty - 2 Hearts

Despite my love of pasta/spaghetti, I’ve never made carbonara in my life. I’m mostly familiar with it coming in a powdered form in packets that you add milk to, with the result being more oddly acidic than creamy or delicious. I also understand that this is possibly the most bastardised recipe in Italian history, and in the effort of gaming authenticity I’ll be destroying carbonara once again by using cream and an onion, as is a mandatory inventory staple for any Sim.

Please make sure you have a smoke alarm installed before going any further, and don’t get distracted by a sudden urge to use the bathroom - the results could be disastrous! If a Sim can master this classic by Level 2, then so can anyone (or so you’d hope).
